Notice on the Extension of the Temporary Waiver Period for the Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA)

The Ministry of Justice has decided to extend the temporary exemption period for the Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) for countries and regions currently exempted, based on continuous requests from relevant ministries to promote the attraction of foreign tourists and other considerations. 

※︎ The exemption period will be extended by one year from 1st January 2026 (Thu) to 31st December 2026 (Thu). 

O List of the countries/regions eligible for temporary exemption of K-ETA:

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Macao, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, US(including Guam)

* Those who got their K-ETA approval can use it until its expiration date
